Madhya Pradesh released its Fisheries Investment and Export Guidelines, 2026, at the Fisheries Investors and Exporters Conclave in Bhopal. Reservoir development worth US$ 9.32 million was also approved, and the share of freshwater species in seafood exports is targeted to rise from 2% to 10%.

The conclave will promote investment and export opportunities in inland fisheries, strengthening value chains and improving livelihoods for fishers and fish farmers.

SRF Limited has approved a US$ 63.35 million aluminium foil plant in Madhya Pradesh with a capacity of 12,000 metric tonnes per annum for lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries. The company also reported a 31% YoY rise in Q2 FY27 net profit to US$ 53.74 million.

Gwalior is set to host Asia’s first Telecom Manufacturing Zone with proposed investment of US$ 582.75 million and more than 18,000 expected direct employment opportunities.

Madhya Pradesh recorded 88,209 incentivised EVs under the PM E-DRIVE Scheme in FY26, while government initiatives continue to support electric mobility, domestic EV manufacturing and charging infrastructure.
